How do you improve your quality of life?
I want to suggest the quality of your life is directly related to the quality of your learning.
By learning, I don’t mean get a bigger degree or a masters or learn the new social media platform or learn the next “get rich quick” hack.
And to be clear I’m not talking about the ‘quantities in your life’ either. You don’t ever want to confuse quantity with quality.
By learning I mean, all your life you have learned how to be angry or not, how do be sad or not, how to fall in love with someone that’s a good fit for you or not, you’ve learned how to worry and what to worry about, you’ve learned things that make you happy or excited or what brings you down and what robs you of your enthusiasm.
You learned habits of thought that really serve you well and others that get in your own way. You learned how to procrastinate or how to take action, you learned what’s healthy and you learned what you only think is healthy but is actually really unhealthy for you.
All the choices you make, all the things you pay attention to or ignore. The things you stand up for or put up with and the million and one thoughts and feelings you have every moment of every day is the result of the quality of your learning.
I’m suggesting to improve the quality of your life, improve the quality of your learning.
